 Outstanding option at a bargain price May 2, 2010

We purchased this for our 11 week old boxer puppy after trying/disliking a few different car harnesses and car seat straps (American Tourister, Top Paw) from local pet stores. Unlike the pet store options, this one actually fits her easily and securely! It is so adjustable in each direction, from neck to chest depth to strap length, that I fully expect it to fit her for months instead of just weeks. That is a HUGE bonus for a fast growing puppy that seems to outgrow items every 7 days. If you have a small/medium dog that will stay that same size, then I have no doubt that this will last you for years and years.
The harness is so similar to her regular one that she doesn't freak out at all when we put it on. The seat belt strap clicks securely into the buckle instead of the awful design that just wraps around the car's belt ... this means you can *completely* control how much movement your dog has in your back seat instead of hoping that s/he won't pull hard enough to fall off the seat or reach/scratch the door. Best of all, the harness fits so well that you can just clip your leash to the sturdy metal ring when you get to your destination instead of having to change harnesses before you get out of the vehicle.
In summary, this is a FANTASTIC harness at a bargain basement price. I also fully recommend the seller Grooming-Pet-Supplies - we ordered this with standard shipping on a Saturday and received it on that following Monday. I don't know how they got it to us that fast, but I'm so grateful. When our boxer outgrows the small/medium, we'll get the exact same item from Grooming-Pet-Supplies in the larger size. Do yourself and your pet a favor - order this harness!

I recently purchased this item for my chihuahua so she could safely travel to the beach with me and my family. I purchased the Small/Medium because it states that it fits 12-28 girth but this information is incorrect. My dog is a 16 and when the harness is shortened as small as it will go, it is still too big for her. I would recommend anyone with a smaller animal to order the xtra small version that I found on Amazon.com after I purchased this one. The X-Small states that it fits animals up to 18 so I think it would have been a better fit. Overall though, it is a sturdy piece of equipment and the buckle works wonderfully.

When I received the product, the box included a notice that the item would not work with certain cars. This was not announced on the website. Furthermore, I own a '91 Jeep Wrangler, and it doesn't work with it. This was not mentioned in the box, either.

My mini-dachshund could be the one pictured. This seat belt is great. Not confining, doesn't take up a lot of room. and your pet can move around. We just returned from a trip from Arkansas to Gulf Shores, Alabama and back with our Gracie. She got along just fine. Another plus is that when you open the car door, you can put the leash hook into the little harness (the one that came with the set was too big so we used the one we already had for her) before you unhook the buckle on the seat belt. I plan to take my carrier to the local Share and Care. The seat belt doesn't take up any room (I keep it in the pocket on back of car front seat so it's always there ready to go) in the car or in the garage.

First of all I couldn't believe how fast this was shipped to me. Great customer service!! I was going on a road trip with my little dachshound Sophie. This was perfect. It allowed her to turn, stand, and lay any which way without any problem. You just snap it to your existing seatbelt clip in the car, and you're ready to go. I read a review about a customer who had a small dog that kept falling off the front of the seat. Easy solved. I just put my cooler on the floor on the passenger front floor, and put a pillow on top. She didn't fall, she had her head on the pillow when she slept, and my cooler was easy access for me.
