Tasty Treats for Dental Health July 20, 2010 Wood Monkey I was unaware of the chews' size, when I ordered. I cut them into 4 pieces, to make it easier for my cat to eat. This shouldn't interfere with the effectiveness of the product, because it is the enzyme in the chew that causes it to work. My cat begs for them... and she's a cat who would never allow anyone to brush her teeth. Thank goodness for these chews!
Hard time getting my cat to eat these. March 21, 2010 Matt W. (Dallas, TX) The dog version of these chews work great with my dog. However, my cat definetly won't chew on these like she's supposed to. She seems to reluctantly eat them if I crush them up, but I'm not sure if they do anything for her teeth if I do that. My cat is rather picky though. I'm sure they clean well if you can get your cat to eat them.
Cat's love them... March 17, 2010 Daniel J. Stein My cats (both of them) go crazy over these. Granted, they look like packing peanuts, and I can't imagine them being appealing, but they don't seem to mind. They look a bit funny while they chew on it, but they get through them just fine, and now come running when I open the bag.
As for their effectiveness, my vet recommends them in addition to brushing. They aren't supposed to be an alternative, though I often use them that way. Still, far better than nothing, and there is no fighting involved (trying to brush a cat's teeth is not a fun experience for either you or the cat!)
Definitely recommended, either in addition to brushing or better than nothing.
My kitty adores these... January 9, 2010 E. Mitchell (Seattle) My kitty loves these so much it's the first thing she eats after her tuna and before she eats anything else...effective and best product I've purchased for her.
They Love These!!! December 29, 2009 Beaker (Maine) My three cats love these!! I give them one after I brush their teeth and they are waiting by the sink every night to get their teeth brushed. Worth every penny.
